The genesis story of my new venture in native plant landscaping!
A challenge to make a small change
A quick update on book availability, and a couple of photos of our decked halls!
Making good on the promises (threats?) I’ve been making for three years, my book, Zen (and Rage) and the Art of a Never-Ending Home Renovation will be published soon!
What it's like as I'm getting closer to a publication date!
A story of budding love . . .
Why do I do this to myself? A little rant about fear.
A wise person once said, "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail."

Laundry room revelations and ever-evolving hardscape progress
Progress is great, and patience is hard when you're this excited about something.
For every accomplishment on the exterior, another 2 things appear (or reappear) on the to-do horizon. . .
This week's progress: a bathroom door, exterior trim (complete with nesting bird slowdowns), and a first-run of landscape design.
We've headed to the great outdoors - tackling the exterior finish work!
resources
On this page I'll share links to some of the great service providers, educational sources, and suppliers we've worked with during our renovation, by general classification, and more or less in the order we used them. There were surely more - some, sadly, were victims of the economic downturn. There were also many visits to demonstrations out on YouTube for some of the new things Tim learned on our journey.
